Lead Parent Support Specialist at A Common Voice
Rossana “Ro” Linn (she/her) is the Lead Parent Support Specialist at A Common Voice and an immigrant from Uruguay. She supports parents and caregivers across Washington State who are navigating the challenges of raising children with complex behavioral needs. As a parent of three, Ro has firsthand experience navigating complex systems—from behavioral health and juvenile justice to supporting a young person in the LGBTQ+ community. These lived experiences have fostered deep empathy and a strong commitment to helping families find understanding, empowerment, and hope. Ro provides parent-to-parent support in a non-clinical setting, offering connection, guidance, and practical resources through both one-on-one support and virtual groups.
Ro believes in meeting parents exactly where they are—without judgment. Her approach is rooted in cultural responsiveness, authenticity, and respect for each family’s unique journey.
She creates a safe and welcoming space where parents feel heard, understood, and supported. Ro values connection and believes that shared experiences can be a powerful part of healing and growth.
Ro began her peer support journey in 2016, transforming her family’s challenges into advocacy and healing. That same year, she earned certifications as a Youth & Family Peer Counselor (CPC) and began working within the WISe program, walking alongside families on their paths toward recovery and connection.
Before entering the behavioral health field, Ro earned an Associate degree in Human Resources and worked as a fitness instructor in local gyms and churches. During this time, she promoted exercise as a powerful tool for mental wellness and community connection—something she continues to value in her work today.
When working with me, parents and caregivers can expect a supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental partnership. I strive to create a space where families feel heard, valued, and understood. My role is to walk alongside parents as they navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and identify strengths within themselves and their families. I support caregivers in accessing resources, understanding systems, and building confidence in advocating for their children’s needs. Above all, parents can expect compassion, honesty, and consistent encouragement so they feel supported and never alone in their journey.
Ro is bilingual in Spanish and English and is passionate about supporting diverse communities. She is also a Zumba instructor and believes strongly in the power of movement for emotional wellness—sometimes, you really can “sweat your stress out.” She brings that same energy, warmth, and positivity into the spaces she creates for families.
“Recovery is a shared journey. Recovery happens when you start sharing.”
Ro helps lead virtual workshops for parents across Washington State and facilitates biweekly support groups. She also leads Spanish-speaking groups, creating accessible spaces for families who prefer to connect in their native language. All services are provided virtually, making support accessible regardless of location.
If you are a parent or caregiver looking for support, connection, or guidance, Ro is here to walk alongside you. Reach out to learn more about one-on-one support, workshops, or upcoming groups.
